"Charming low priced Inn. Wonderfully renovated in a sixties retro vibe. Great lighting and grounds. Beds are comfortable and rooms come with some thoughtful amenities. Yes they charge $30 bucks for parking. Yes that blows, but that's late stage capitalism for you. It is stated on their website but of course you missed that because it wasn't included when you received your "all in" tax included quote. Don't book with a third party and you'll save about $30 bucks Which you'll then give back for parking. And to The lovely Carmel Mission Mgmnt "everybody's doing it" isn't a great justification. You get 5 outta 5 but $30 extra for Parking ... 👎 The inn is lovely and GREAT value. Highly recommended. Staff are lovely Rooms great - clean & comfortable. Poolside terraced rooms with patio space lovely. Wood veneer floors a plus"

"We stayed at Carmel Mission Inn with extended family during a very important trip to spread my mom’s ashes and hold her celebration of life. For the most part, the hotel was a great base for us. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the courtyard with firepits and pool area were perfect for relaxing, and the on-site restaurant made it easy to keep everyone together. Staff at the front desk and housekeeping were generally very kind—housekeeping even helped dry our kids’ shoes after a beach visit so they were ready for the service. One late-night interaction with a staff member at the front desk was handled poorly at the time and initially left me with a bad taste. I shared that feedback with management after the stay, and the General Manager personally called me, listened to what happened, and offered a meaningful gesture to make it right. No hotel is perfect, but how management responds matters a lot. In this case, they owned the issue and tried to repair the relationship, which I respect. Overall, I’m comfortable recommending Carmel Mission Inn and would consider staying again because of how they ultimately handled things."
